An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior UX & Interaction Designer to play a vital role within the global Digital Transformation team of a leading financial services organisation based in Dublin. Reporting to the head of the UX & Design COE, the role will focus on all aspects of the user experience journey to ensure that our customer’s experience is at the centre of everything we do.
You will be a key part of a multidisciplinary team of award-winning innovators and technologists and will leverage your knowledge and experience in design to explore, create and validate concepts that have a tangible positive impact on our clients. This role will involve: project leadership across multiple initiatives to deliver impactful work in collaboration with stakeholders and team members, end–to-end guidance of UX initiatives from research to prototyping and final pixel perfect design, taking a hands on approach when needed to create value and ultimately launch new products and solutions into the market.

Core responsibilities include:
Collaborate with, and contribute project leadership to, a team of talented and passionate designers across a range of projects and activities, providing a combination of strategic direction, project supervision and direct engagement on project deliverables.
Help to focus the team’s efforts through driving UX standards, offering project guidance and connecting the team to the wider organisational context and ecosystem.
Drive the delivery of high quality user experience and interaction design work across the Digital Transformation portfolio. Support the practice and build team expertise across disciplines including user research, interaction design and visual design.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, product owners, business analysts and engineers, as well as the wider UX & Design COE team to drive increased value and appreciation of design within the organisation.
Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with service designers, product managers, engineers, business analysts and other stakeholders to form a deep understanding of project scope, user needs, and design requirements.
Collaborate with the strategy, product and engineering teams to rapidly develop concepts and prototype ideas.
Present design ideas using storyboards, user flows, wireframes, design mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how systems function and flow from early stage concepts through to complex system and platform designs.
Be a thought-leader for customer centric design and work with the rest of the team to enable and grow the practice of UX design methodology within the broader organisation.
Help to lead the creation and management of a global design system and component library that embodies our brand as the bank for a changing world.
The ideal candidate will:
Be insightful, creative, passionate, and positive, with an enthusiasm for digital transformation.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information and contextualise it for a variety of audiences.
Have 6+ years’ experience as a design practitioner, with 2+ years’ experience leading projects across design or multidisciplinary teams.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a design discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
Have demonstrable experience of designing compelling digital products and services using a full range of UX skills from research through to information architecture, data design, concept design, iterative prototyping and final design delivery.
Have experience in directing and motivating project teams, mentoring designers, inspiring teamwork and driving a team toward exceptional work.
Exceptional candidates will have the following:
Strong background in information architecture and data design.
Experience working on complex / financial systems within an enterprise level environment.
Experience in the financial services or funds management industry.
Experience working within a digital transformation or innovation team, including collaborating with ideation teams, service designers, business designers, internal stakeholders and IT teams.
